Swimming in Goldfish and Ice Cream!

I was hoping this combination would happen and, this week, at Food Basics ON, it did!

Goldfish crackers/cookies are on sale for $1.99. (We go through a lot of these.)
Irresistibles Ice Cream tub (the good stuff, real cream kind) is on sale for $2.97.

I bought:

2 x Goldfish + 1 x Irresistibles Ice Cream = $6.95

I used the $2.00 off a tub of ice cream WUB2 Goldfish, etc. coupon and brought the total down to:

$6.95 - $2.00 coupon = $4.95 total cost for all three items!

I did multiples of this combination, with the coupons, and am now stocked up on both Goldfish and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G flavours of ice cream!

Nice when you can get a deal on real ice cream without having to use up valuable Chapman's coupons!

(P.S. I usually stick with Chapman's since my family prefers real ice cream instead of "frozen dessert". I had never purchased Irresistibles brand before but this line, the real cream varieties in the black tubs, are delicious!)

Both Metro and Food Basics had them a while back. Often, combination coupons (save on this when you buy that) aren't very valuable since both items need to be on sale to get the most benefit from them but this coupon paid off!

I did price match gold fish for $1.99 from Food Basics and got icecream at FreshCo and used $2 coupon so got all 3 for $3.98.

this has been my FAVOURITE coupon this summer!! I wait til the goldfish are on for $1.99 then find a brand of ice cream for cheap to use the $2 coup on...recently PM briers ice cream on sale at $2,97 and got it for .97 cents!! The coupon also works WUB V8 juices instead of goldfish!
