Okay people...I was in Metro a couple days ago and I saw the breakfast hashbrown coupons on a tear pad. My thoughts were "Sweet, I never see these!" So I grabbed 4 coupons (2 for me, 2 for my mom). HOWEVER, it was not in my budget to buy the hashbrowns on that shopping trip..so I folded them, put them in my pocket, and continued my shopping!
Is that wrong? I never thought about it til my boyfriend mentioned it!
I also saw some tear pads at SDM for $2 off any cover girl product but I was too chicken to grab one.
Anyone have comments about this?
Does it bother stores when we take the tear pad coupon but don't use it there?
Thank you in advance!

Not wrong at all! Sometimes I walk out of a store and buy nothing but leave with a little stack of coupons.
Don't be scared. The stores don't even 'own' the coupons, they can't tell you whether or not you can take some without buying the product. And you can indeed take some without buying the product at that time, so don't worry!

The coupons are sent to the store by the manufacturer. The store does not pay for them or own them in any way.
Even if they did belong to the store, who is to say that you weren't saving them to use there another day?

this is how how most of us end up with coupons to trade....if it's something I'll use I wouldn't hesitate to take 8-10 as long as I don't leave the pad empty nut if I do take the last few I don't feel bad about it.
