A few of us went to Scores today to meet an old friend for lunch. This man is confined to a nursing home and relies on his daughter to take him out so since today is a holdiay in QC and his daughter was off, we got together.
I cant believe the prices at Scores! The Salad all you can eat lunch meal was $16.95. Whatever happened to the under $10 for this meal. And hubby had the half rack of ribs; they were $20 and hardly any meat and burnt. Plus $3.00 for a coffee! I really dont recommend Scores anymore. Too expensive and not any good!

Made a fresh batch yesterday of the red pepper/cauliflower puree soup. ( got 21 cups! )
Then this morning a zucchini / mushroom / sort of cheesy casserole.
Was able to use some bottom of the jar ( as Rachael Ray does ) ingredients from the fridge .
There was just 2 Tblsp of Basil pesto in one, 3/4 c. Classico spicy red pepper sauce and 1 1/2 c. diced tomatoes.
Then I used my light Ricotta and light Swiss cheeses to build up the layers , lots of fresh cilantro and dill, garlic, onion of course.
This will be a side dish for my lunch and dinners, hope to get a good 6 servings from this ceramic dish.

It was a noon meal, my first food of the day ( shopping saw me leave the house without making my usual brekkie. )
That in turn led to me reaching for a tray of discounted baby beef liver at NF!! The instant I returned home I fed Frankie, then I dipped just 2 of the thin sliced strips of liver into flour and pan fried those suckers in butter along with onions.
Asparagus tips on the side....it was absolute heaven!

Working today- Popped home and made a quick grilled cheese and ate it on the way back to work. Saved me from take out.
-
I stayed " good " today, well....so far at least.
Lunch was a celebration of cooked veg, a ton of fresh spinach that wilted down to almost nuthin!, green beans, asparagus and a wee 1/2 cup of diced tomatoes. I heated up the tomatoes and poured them into my skl/bnl turkey breast/mushroom casserole. Oh my.....so tasty!
Oh yes, and my garden salad. Lots of food for a lunch but only cost me 240 calories!
