My Ladies group is going out to lunch today to a mom & pop fish & Chips restaurant a couple of towns over. The restaurant is overlooking the Richelieu River and Canal, nice scenic area. This is an extremely popular restaurant for the fish & chips and there is always a lineup! Im having the fish with a caesar salad, their house dessert which is a Fruit Cocktail cake with homemade caramel sauce.
Today I dropped a bunch of baby afghans at the gift shop so I had lunch at the restaurant. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a roll.
Leftover spaghetti squash from last night's dinner with a homemade tomato/vegetable/meat sauce. I'm embarrassed to admit, in more than 4 decades, I've never tasted spaghetti squash before yesterday evening. I didn't know what I was missing; it's delicious!!
I made three large pans of lasagna and cesar salad for dh and his co-workers' lunch today. Hope they liked it!
Canadian Pizza In Berlin - With Chilli maple syrup
Had chicken pho....in a hospital cafeteria of all places. It was superb!
Well for lunch, hubby had one of those frozen pizzas, Delissio i think it was. Pizza isnt exactly my thing (from the restaurant or frozen) so i had a bowl of Wong Wing WonTon soup.
An egg sandwich at a little cafe place at the YMCA. 7 whole dollars !!! There wasn't even lettuce in the sandwich :frown:. Serves me right for getting up late and not packing a lunch.
had a very nice light lunch at the zoomer show
did a toasted cream cheese, it came with romaine lettuce, tomato and cucumber
the coffee was good too
but expensive.
What an unusual dish to find there! One of our hospitals has (well, it's been a few years since I've been there) absolutely amazing food - don't know what it's like as a patient, but I've eaten both in the public and staff caf many times and just regular food was really, really good!
It's 3 p.m., and I can't wait for supper so I'm having a PB sandwich. Breakfast was way too long ago!
Today I had a Dr. appointment in London so we went to Swiss Chalet. Had their new entree...chicken and garlic shrimp. It was really good. Wish you could get the shrimp without chicken.
