Sometimes lean will go on sale for $1.99/lb. I am not sure what it is normally.

It's $2.49/lb at Gateway. It goes on sale sometimes for $1.99 in the grocery stores but the gateway price is the best I've seen for regular price.

I try to hold out for $1.99/lb for lean. Lately it's a bit of a wait because I think the price has gone up in the last two months or so. So I think I'll have to increase the cap to $2.50/lb, and just make sure to use my HH coupons for $3 off ground beef WUB HH.

I buy grass fed beef from a local farmer for $2.00 a lb, and thats all kind of meat, steak, roast, stewing, ground beef, I don't have to worry about hormones and antibiotics in my meat, I pay a bit extra for wrapping, but when I buy a side of beef I have enough to last almost a year. I, also, buy chickens and lamb from him, all the meat is delicious and cheaper than the store, and I know what I'm getting for my money.
