No more PM with Safeway and Save-on and LD Windermere

Hey all,

When I went to LD Windermere yesterday I was advised of a new policy (I had heard rumblings about previously but nothing definitive until yesterday) L.D. will no longer be price matching Safeway or Save-On due to the whole membership club card price thing. The clerk and I talked about it at length because she too was unaware this policy had come into effect. As we discussed, since the memberships are free, it doesnt really make sense not to price match. I wonder if you could prove that you are a Save-On or Safeway member (ie: show your card) then you could price match. That would be sweet, but probably not going to happen. Wanted to give everyone the heads up, because I price match those flyers fairly often and I'm sure lots of other people do too! Bummer.

Why would you price match SO flyers when they allow stacking? That is crappy about Safeway flyers!
