We are going to go and see my mom in the Ottawa area next month. I am hoping to do everything with a coupon.. call it an adventure in couponing if you will. We likely wont need a hotel.. but will need entertainment, snacks and such.. and gas .. so that is the reason for this post.. any one have any idea where to find the coupons needed to pull this off?

Try to gas up at Canadian Tire gas bars, at least you'll get Canadian Tire money.

Try searching on Ebay to purchase coupons. I have bought coupons from Ebay before.
For a couple of dollars you can get a whole bunch of coupons mailed to you. Once in a while I see people selling coupons for attractions or restaurant gift certificates - maybe you can find a good deal.

oh that is a good idea..
we are going to a family gathering this weekend, we will stop into one of those tourist places on our way.. so I will have a better idea.
Found one deal, not sure if I will use it personally.. but I thought I would pass it on to you all
Starbucks from now until Sept 5, if you buy a beverage in the AM, keep your receipt and go back in the afternoon and great a price reduction on a cold drink... Thought I would share

If you have a hotel close by stop into the lobby and see what Ontario attractions info/coupons they have available. I usually see province wide things in those stands when I stay somewhere.
Also - ask if friends family are going to any sporting events soon - lots of times those ticket stubs can be redeemed for pizza slices etc. after the game - check the expiry days available though, and sometimes it depends on the results of the games/events. Worth a try though!

fantastic ideas. We have it narrowed down to dates... trying to find a pet friendly SPG hotel( to use our points for a free stay) for two days, found a frugalista activitie for when we are there. Open air theater, pay what you can ($10 per person suggested) , going to stay on MIL Hobby farm for a couple of nights to. So far so good, three weeks to go.
