HAWAIIAN DREAM CAKE!!
1 package yellow cake mix
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained, reserve juice...
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 (3-oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
... 1 cup cold milk
1 (9-ounce) container cool whip
Nuts and coconut
Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using the reserved pineapple juice and water for the liquid called for in the directions. Bake at 350° F. for about 35 minutes in a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll (I used a 9-/12 x 13 pan). Cool in pan, set aside.
In a large bowl blend together cream cheese, pudding mix and milk until smooth. Fold in drained pineapple and spread over top of cake. Cover with whipped topping and sprinkle with nuts and coconut. Refrigerate.

FOR BACKYARD FUN, NO BUGS!
There was some discussion a while back on getting rid of mosquitoes. While there's lots of products out there, here's one way to do it, have a stylis...h yard and keep the costs down too.
All you need is a package of Mason jars, some cotton string and some liquid citronella (find it in big jugs at any home-improvement store and even some grocery stores). Use a hammer and nail to poke a hole in the top of the lid, then pour in the citronella, put the top on and drop in the wick. Allow the string about 10 minutes to soak up some oil, then place them around your backyard and light them!

BROOKIES
1 scoop of brownie batter + 1 scoop of cookie dough in a muffin pan = Brookies!!!!
...
the idea (and photo) came from Williams-Sonoma who makes this and sells it as a Baking Mix called Baked Brookster .... well they charge $16.95 for a box!!!! I got my ingredients for under $3!
Make brownie and cookie mixes according to box directions, put brownie mix in each well of your pan then drop cookie dough on top. Bake as directed on box BUT start checking about half way through the directed time so your brownies stay moist (remember they are a smaller cook area when made as a muffin size and it will vary a little for each oven)

OLIVE GARDEN SALAD DRESSING
■1/2 C. mayonnaise
■1/3 C. white vinegar...
■1 tsp. vegetable oil
■2 Tbsp. corn syrup
■2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
■2 Tbsp. Romano cheese
■1/4 tsp. garlic salt
■1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
■1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
■1 Tbsp. lemon juice
One of the best things about the Olive Garden is their never-ending salad bowl. They sell the house dressing right there at the restaurant, but I thought it would be easier (and more frugal) to try and duplicate the Olive Garden salad dressing at home. A quick internet search turned up dozens of recipes, most of which were exactly like the one above.
What’s nice about the Olive Garden salad dressing recipe is that the ingredients are readily available. In fact, you may already have them in your refrigerator/pantry. Toss with fresh tomatoes, Vidalia onions, black olives, croutons, pickled Pepperoncini and freshly grated Parmesan cheese to give you a true Olive Garden restaurant experience.

Oven Baked Zucchini Chips
1 (large) zucchini, cut into 1/8" - 1/4" slices
1/3 cup whole grain breadcrumbs,
optional Panko
1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese, reduced fat...
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Kosher or sea salt to taste
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons low-fat milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine in a small mixing bowl, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Dip zucchini slices into milk and dredge into bread crumbs to coat both sides. Note: It may be necessary to press crumbs onto zucchini slices to ensure the crumbs stick. Arrange zucchini on a non-stick cookie sheet and lightly mist with a non-stick cooking spray. We use Misto Olive Oil Sprayer. Or, place zucchini on a wire rack sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. If using a rack, place rack on a cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes, turn over and continue baking until golden, approximately 10-15 minutes (being careful not to burn). Allow to cool to room temperature before storing in an airtight container.
NOTE: Zucchini Chips will continue to get crispier while cooling.
NOTE: For gluten free chips, use gluten-free bread crumbs.

Salad In A Jar
Utterly brilliant, people!!!!!!! Not only does SALAD IN A JAR save space in your fridge, it also reduces food waste and gets non-salad eaters to mow down daily.
THE ARRANGEMENT
From BOTTOM to TOP:...
Dressing
Shredded carrots
Cherry tomatoes
Sunflower seeds
Hard boiled eggs
Baby spinach
DIRECTIONS
1) Arrange ingredients in a large mason jar
2) Store in fridge for up to a week
3) When ready to eat: shake jar, place on a plate, and eat!
You can make any arrangement you want… you can add red onion, cucumbers, radishes or peppers. Always remember to put the dressing at the bottom and the lettuce at the top—a MUST. As long as the dressing does not touch the greens this will stay fresh in the fridge for up to a week!!!!!!!

Great postings, and I'd have lots to add... but I think decor ideas should be kept separate from recipes (put in that section), and Hallowe'en separate from Christmas.
