Just wondering if it's okay to have a stockpile in the garage due to the cold temperatures in the winter. Are there certain items that shouldn't be stored in the garage?

I'm running out of room in our closets and am looking for more storage space!

If any of you have a pic to share, that would be most helpful!

    Thanks in advance!!

I don't have any pics, but soups, etc. shouldn't go in the garage during winter, but put toilet paper, paper towel and that in garage

I keep my cleaning supplies in the garage. Tide, dawn, green works. The Dawn changed colour in the winter but it looks normal now.

So anything liquid shouldn't be left outside? I have lots of laundry detergent, shampoo and other cleaning supplies...

Did anything freeze? I'm just concerned that they might burst.

No nothing froze. The only thing I noticed was that the dawn went a little cloudy but it cleared up as soon as the weather warmed up.

After the garage fire I had a few months ago I would never keep anyting of any value in the garage. Luckily my stock pile is in my house in different designated areas so I did not lose anyting in the fire.

Our garage is insulated so the temperatures don't drop too low. It is just styrofoam backing on the door. I avoid keeping liquids in there (unless you are from BC and the temperature stays fairly constant), but don't hesitate to put larger items like toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, diapers in there...it may free you up more room in the house too? Have fun reorganizing when you get to it!
