I noticed when Sears sent its Celebrate Winter catalogue (bagged) in mail or local paper, the insert for Sears codes seemed connected to purchases made with Sears card only. So I'd suggest you see if online or in a recent flyer if there are any mentions of codes that can be used regardless of tender.
