I am not overly religious, I don't go to church every Sunday and I don't know every quote in the bible, but I do believe in the higher power and pray whenever I feel the need ( lately this is daily). Everyday that I am outside and see the wonderful creation around me, how can I not be thankful and see the beauty in a divine power.

-What date do you usually put up your tree?

Usually the first weekend in December but since hubby is away DD & I have been spending the weekends at my parents, so probably sometime in the first week of December. We normally stretch it over two days - first day tree goes up, second day decorations go on.

Currently having a lazy morning, BIL & SIL are home because Rememberance Day is a holiday in Alberta, hubby had to work though. Plan for later is shopping, then baking gingerbread men.

Ok so I'm going to wait until Armygirl updates the questions (no rush) rather than search back through 15 pages. but I did remember the winter item question - in addition to the fleece neck warmer for DD (which is my most wanted item *hint, hint, nudge, nudge, say no more*) WATERPROOF mittens for DD, learned this weekend that her mittens are waterproof. Size 3-4. If they were on a string it would be even more amazing! This is probably my second most wanted item.

Another remembered question - yes to deer jerky. I'm not really a jerky person but I like to try new things & if I don't like it my sister's bf will most likely eat it! Going to be trying BIL's duck jerky tonight!

Well buddies I finished up our shopping this morning! Yahoo! That feels good! Kelsey has wrapped half of her gifts to her buddy....I haven't started yet! I still have some online orders to come in but they should be here tomorrow. I will start wrapping and then take a pic!

The kids usually put up the tree the last week of November.

I am not what you would call a real Religious person but I do go to church sometimes and do believe in God. I am a very private person when it comes to my Religious/Spiritual beliefs.
I grew up in the Lutheran Church and was confirmed to the church when I was younger that was very important to my parents.
