Sorry I haven't got these answered earlier.
1. I'm on the last couple days of my vacation in Edmonton. We are headed for the mountains this weekend. Is there anything SMALL (read my suitcase is tight on space) that you might be interested in?
nothing I can think off since I shop Edmonton on a weekly basis
2. Do you like tea? If so is there Certain Flavours?
I love tea, I will drink just about all flovours, but right now I am in need of Red Roobios, and mint.
3. Buddy, is there something that you like/want that you love and never get around to buying for yourself?
Yes, there is. I love Yardley's Lily of the Valley perfume and the rose
4. Buddy: Do you like to cook, bake, crafts, scrapbook ? Is there anything you need in any of those departments or would you rather a surprise ?
I do like to cook, not so much baking as it is such a challenge for me. I do scrape book but haven't had time lately. Crafts are crocheting, knitting, sketching, and wood working.
5.Buddy how long have you been with your hubby/significant other? Do you like things like couples ornaments and such?
We have been together for 14 years, can't say as we have ever had couples ornaments. So sure I am up anything
6. If you are into baking would you be interested in some gently used (a couple times each) Wilton character cake pans.
No sorry
7. Seeing this is a December (Christmas) Advent train, is there 1 most wanted Christmas item on your list???
I would love to find the candle from Partylight in Holiday spice, I don't know if they even still have it.
8. buddy are you into bath type stuff bubble baths and that kind of thing?
No sorry unless it the Avon Lily bubble bath, otherwise I make all my own
9. we are planning a US shopping day (hopefully before mail day) is there anything you'd like me to smuggle across the border for you?
I really have no idea what there even isso any surprise is good with me
10. Buddy - Do you or any of the family have a birthday in December?
Nope nothing here.
11. As this is a Christmas train, would you prefer for your items to be for the most part Christmas themed or items, or just a few? How much do you love Christmas?
We love Christmas, but I will be honest, since losing my FIL 16 months ago ( he was the ultimate Christmas nut) it has been harder to get as excited about the holidays. It is something g that we have to really work hard to do. So anything that you can come up with to help would be awesome.
12. Buddy, What are a few of your favorite colours?
My favourite colors are rich earthy type colors
13. How do you feel about animal prints? Zebra stripes, leopard spots etc etc?
I am not so into animal prints
14. What is your favorite # from 1 - 23 and what is your favorite day of the week?[/QUOTE]
My favourite number is 9 and my favourite day of the week is any day that I get to sleep in

Okay serious question for all...
This is Our first Christmas separated from DS's dad. I am having a very hard time with this split Christmas non sense. I promised his dad that he could have DS on Christmas Day around 10am. But that is not good enough for him, he wants him Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. It's very frustrating, to an extent I feel like I deserve Christmas morning. I am the one who cares for him and works to support him. I want to be able to enjoy that feeling of Christmas morning.
On the other hand I feel very selfish about t as well, DS gets to see his dad once a week. I mean yes his dad also really deserves Christmas morning with him... It's frustrating. I really don't like that it has to be this way but it is what it is. Makes me want to cry actually...
So my question is how has/does anyone else In This situation deal with this!!

I guess in this aspect our family was very lucky, my parents split when I was 3. My dad's family is German and celebrate everything Christmas Eve. So Dad and his family had us Christmas Eve until 10 or 11 pm when mom would come and pick us up and than we would spend Christmas Day with mom and her family and than back to Dad's on Boxing Day to have Christmas with my Step mom's family.
We have also had many years where some family members were not going to be home at Christmas (my Dad's family owned a house in Florida so various different years certain members would be spending Christmas in Florida) so when this would happen we would celebrate on a different day to still have Christmas with the family. This year will be one of these years as me, my bro and half bro will be away for Christmas so we are aiming for a December 30th Family Christmas at my Dad's.
2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Ok I'm caught up again on reading. We had a great day in the mountains yesterday (despite not being able to see much of the actual mountains). Was going to catch up on question answering last night but DD barf in the car on the way home & was sick in the night too so that didn't happen. She is fully recovered now. We have decided to extend out trip out here for an extra week & a half. So we will attempt to see the mountains again next week. Going to be driving back to Edmonton shortly so I will answer all the questions this evening! Promise!

Ok buddy, I have some questions for you
What would you consider the "perfect date" or your most memorable?
What is your favorite music type and/or song?
What is your most favorite Christmas treat?
What is one Christmas tradition that you must do or have?
If you could pick only one flower, what is your favorite?
Ok now here are my answers to the same questions.
1. My most memorable date, my husband was hired to help a friend pull out their bear campso on my birthday we left the girls with the parents and left at 6 in the morning. We spent all day in 30 degree heat clearing and packing up the camp. All the time having one of the best conversations that I can remember having. All the work was done and since we were on the edge of one of northern Alberta's most pristine lakes, we became little kids again and played and splashed to cool down, after we made a little fire and enjoyed a small weinie's roast and then enjoyed a late night swim under the stars( that was until the bear came to fish and we left
)
This is one date that I will never forget and anytime that we have a rough patch, we will remind each other of our working date and how much fun it was, once we completed the hard part.
2. Favourite music is mostly country with some rock and pop mixed in. One of my most favorite songs is No Place That Far by Sara Evans and Just Give Me A Reason by Pink
3. Most favorite Christmas treat, we call it Christmas Log and we only ever make it at Christmas.
4. The one Tradition that we must have to make it feel like Christmas is... The real Christmas tree. With squirrels and all
5. My absolutely most favorite flower is a Pansey. Small, cute, looks delicate but the most hardy flower.

I am not really a make up person. Mascara and a little eye shadow. Sometimes I throw on a little lip gloss too!
4 and Thursday
I don't have to deal with this but my best friend has shared custody of her daughter (dad takes her every other weekend). She has their daughter Christmas Eve and Dad picks her up between 10 and 11am and takes her for the day. He either brings her back late Christmas evening or in the morning on the 26th. I think you are being fairLast edited by Momto2Ks; Sun, Nov 3rd, 2013 at 04:31 PM.

Last year we just had our mini 4 foot tree. Pink with white lights, silver balls and silver bead garland.
This year we are doing a full size real tree. Blue and silver balls, white lights and perhaps some silver bead garland. We are also putting up the mini pink tree, it's our breast cancer support tree.
