What would you consider the "perfect date" or your most memorable?

Now Dinner and a movie

Then Mitch and I had our son before we were married so we spent many years having home dates.we are huge video game players. We would put our children to bed and play an RPGs together

hmmmm.......hubby is far from romantic. A perfect date would be dinner where hubby actual talks to me lol, then a movie.

Most memorable would be a lunch we had on our honeymoon at this restaurant on the side of a mountain overlooking Hallstatt - town/lake & mountains in Austria. (See photo of view)

a full English breakfast Christmas morning at my parents

What would you consider the "perfect date" or your most memorable? For Donnie I'd say his perfect date would be dinner out at a steak house and a creepy movie (maybe his next wife will enjoy these things LOL)

For our tree we have all blue lights with blue ribbon for the garland but the ornaments are all mismatched and personal

Buddy question: does your tree have a theme? Or colour-theme?

This is my tree a couple of years ago, it basically the same colour theme just with more decorations now.

Last year I got the bright idea to change our tree from all my kids random ornaments through out the years. To a very sterile teal and silver. It ended up making me sad so my tree will go back to all the ornaments my kids picked and made over the years

I don't have to deal with this but my best friend has shared custody of her daughter (dad takes her every other weekend). She has their daughter Christmas Eve and Dad picks her up between 10 and 11am and takes her for the day. He either brings her back late Christmas evening or in the morning on the 26th. I think you are being fair

going for a drive to look at the christmas lights with a hot chocolate. We found a really great house last year, you turn the radio to their station and the light show follows the songs. Last year they had 4-5 songs then repeat. Hopfully this year will be a different show.

A carnation or mum because they last so long in a vase

Okay serious question for all...

This is Our first Christmas separated from DS's dad. I am having a very hard time with this split Christmas non sense. I promised his dad that he could have DS on Christmas Day around 10am. But that is not good enough for him, he wants him Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. It's very frustrating, to an extent I feel like I deserve Christmas morning. I am the one who cares for him and works to support him. I want to be able to enjoy that feeling of Christmas morning.

On the other hand I feel very selfish about t as well, DS gets to see his dad once a week. I mean yes his dad also really deserves Christmas morning with him... It's frustrating. I really don't like that it has to be this way but it is what it is. Makes me want to cry actually... So my question is how has/does anyone else In This situation deal with this!!

Its hard, but you HAVE to alternate holidays. Easter was never a big celebratory holiday for me growing up, but it was for him...so I "graciously" agreed to let the kids spend Easter with him, every year. I hated trick or treating when the kids got a bit older (8 or 9) and wanted to go allll over the world t&t'ing, so I let HIM take them. You need to pick your battles.
My ex moved out in March, and I had the kids that Xmas morning. The following year, HE had them Xmas morning, and it had alternated back and forth for the last 9 years. It really is a pain in the ass, because it always seems like HE gets the better end of the deal no matter what year it is.
Like if I have them Xmas morning, he is allowed to come take them on xmas Eve day until 8pm or so....then they come home, go to sleep, wake up, gifts and then he'd be at the door wanting them at 2pm Xmas day. So I wouldnt get them for xmas eve dinner OR xmas night dinner. But on years when HE would have them on Xmas morning, he would always have Xmas dinner at his parents at 2pm, so I wouldnt get them back until 4pm and AFTER theyd already eaten...so I was getting shafted every year on having a holiday meal with them. Just wasn't fair. I wish I could say that it gets better or easier, but if you ex s a douchebag like mine turned out to be, well, lets just say my kids are 23, 16 and 13 and we are STILL shuttling them back and forth...even though all THEY want to do is sleep in til noon, open some sh*t, and go back to bed til 4pm, eat some turkey and then go out with friends!!!

Ok I'm caught up again on reading. We had a great day in the mountains yesterday (despite not being able to see much of the actual mountains). Was going to catch up on question answering last night but DD barf in the car on the way home & was sick in the night too so that didn't happen. She is fully recovered now. We have decided to extend out trip out here for an extra week & a half. So we will attempt to see the mountains again next week. Going to be driving back to Edmonton shortly so I will answer all the questions this evening! Promise!

Hahaha, Im a little nuts. When my boyfriend went away over night I dressed her up and moved her into the spare room so she wasnt as scary.
