Today brought a whole bunch of sticky gift labels and a package of xmas wrap - very nice! all of our wrap, bows etc are stuck under the bed in the spare bedroom which has become the dumping ground for all of the "stuff" from the basement due to renovations - thank you for thinking ahead for us! Yikes!!!! The price of stamps is going up to $0.85 when purchased in a book or coil or $1 when purchased individually as of March 31, 2014.


Note to self- Stock on P Stamps before then...

Oh- and door to door delivery of mail is being phased out over 5 years!

Apparently stocking up on P stamps don't help eithe; after March 2014 they will make you pay the difference

Just found out today myself! I don't really know to much yet just what was on the news and the stamp increase March 31/14.
No more "P" stamps are being sold though we were asked to pull our stock any that are in circulation and on-hand by customer are still honored.

I stopped in at Rexall and picked up some. Hopefully they will be honoured come April- if not I am sure they will be worth what I paid

I will definitely miss my door to door delivery though. But like all things- I will adjust with the change...

If you have a Rexall or other non Canada Post location that sells stamps- it may be worth it to buy some "P" stamps before they are sold out. The Rexall near me had LOTS of 10 packs in stock.

Just found this on Canada Post's website:
Canadians who already have Permanent™ or “P” stamps will be able to continue to use them without needing additional postage. However, the sale of new Permanent or “P” stamps will be suspended until the transition is successfully completed.
