Halloween Candy Clearance?

When is the best time to buy Halloween Candy on clearance? Like do store mark there candy down on Halloween day or do you have to wait a few days after Halloween to get boxes for $1-$2?

It's very very rare these days that you see markdowns on the 31st because even Halloween night some people have to go back to the store and top up with candy if they get more kids than expected.

I think you would be looking at November 1st on? And I would get right on it because there is a lot of demand for the best stuff (chocolate bars) You don't want to go to the store and find nothing but rockets and molasses chews ;-)

Okay thanks! - So it's better just to buy it on the 1st of November then wait for a bigger discount?

My town is pretty small (16,000 pop.) and we have 6 stores that sells Halloween Candy and they are all well stocked so I think the odds would be better then a bigger city?

i agree.. but be at your local store when they open.. or unless its want you want.. all you'll be left with is candy(hard kind) and suckers..
the chocolate goes fast..
some people freeze it for next year, some put it in stockings.. some fill boxes with it as filler

If you have a Bulk Barn nearby do hit them up early on the 1st for half price candy corn and other bulk treats. Ours reliably marks everything down 50% the day after.

Ours is opening next month but there is always next year haha

It's 20x day on Wednesday. Maybe go get a couple more Nestle 90 count bars for 13.99 with those cool coupons on the box.

16.09 - 5.89 = 10.02 actual OOP

Cheapest I've seen is at Target on sale for 11.99, 13.79 including tax.

And to answer Brennan7's question my husband is always in charge of getting the candy and I hate this but he does wait to the last minute and SDM always has decent deals even the day of and the later you go the better.
