As per the National Post:
The senior homicide inspector leading the investigation into allegations of a video that appears to show Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine said Friday he is waiting for the mayor to respond to an interview request.
Det.-Sgt. Gary Giroux said he put in the request in the past few days.
“I’ve made the invitation through the mayor’s chief of staff,” Giroux said.
“That invitation, I’m going to pursue.”

Something to remember: There is a dead guy connected to this video. A video the mayor appears in. Now we hear a homicide inspector wants to talk to him? It's not looking good for him.
They all fall eventually, thankfully we got rid of the "worst" of ours and tomorrow is the election. Hopefully they won't be as corrupt but it's still a "mob" rules town.
And there is a second video.

Ford is supposed to be making an announcement on his radio show today.

My only issue with his "statement" is the fact that it's in controlled environment, only him and Doug. No questions. Probably scripted, and no doubt he'll come out swinging at everyone. I'm interested in hearing what he has to say about Blair. Bets placed anyone? I'm bettering he WON'T resign. I think I might need some popcorn for "th show" though lol
I don't think he'll resign but I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a leave or something but he'll still be defiant in his typical fashion.
.
I've never listened to the show (just seen bits on the news), but I've got it running and ready to go!

Ford says he wants the video released so we can all judge for ourselves.
Right off the bat, he's asking the police to release the video, to let TO residents see it.
Very nice words for the police service!
Gave a heartfelt apology to everyone - to let go of the past and move forward with making changes.
He wants to continue to do what he was elected to do, so basically, no, not resigning.
