I think the thousands and thousands of people he say are supporting him is a bit of an exaggeration.

I think the thousands and thousands of people he say are supporting him is a bit of an exaggeration.
That was the most vague statement I've ever heard.
And Dougie, Rob's not being accused of stealing.
Haha, Doug just told him to keep his nose clean. Poor choice of words Doug.
LOL, love the "Stayin' Alive" bumper music!
I do agree that the media needs to stay away from his house. I do feel for his kids because regardless of what you think of him as a mayor or whatever, but he has young kids and they should not be exposed to this.
I had to run out dangnabit and didn't get to hear it. So sitting down to read the reports of what was said.
Reading what I have, it appears his apology was a cop out. Not what people were looking for. People were looking for him to address specific issues, even if it wasn't the crack smoking, take your pick at allegations against him. Anyone can say "I've made mistakes I want to move on" and it really isn't taking responsibility for anything. That's just my take, and I'm sure the take of many others.
As for the tape, Ford isn't a stupid man and he knows that the tape can not be released due to it being evidence in a current homicide investigation. Asking for it's release will simply satisfy those that are his hardcore supporters who will spout "see there is NO proof or else the chief would release it!". It's become a circus long ago. A sad circus.
lecale, even though it may be a call in show it is certainly a lot more of a controlled environment than a presser, or him just being asked a question by a reporter at any time and having to answer on the spot.
I for one would love to hear an answer to any question, but in particular why he has not returned the homicide inspectors phone call so he can interview him regarding the video.

I can't believe some are still in denial over him.

Sadly, this is stuff he actually said!

Doug is now calling for Blair to resign or take a leave of absence.

I am not a fan of Bill Blair and I've thought several times that he needs to go but I think this is not the case. Blair said on Thursday that "as a citizen" he was disappointed with what he saw on the video. And I think its fair for him to say that because despite being the chief, he is also a citizen. And I think its fair to be disappointed, if what is on the video is what we think is on it. And it seems Doug is not aware that Blair did not release the ITO but that a judge did.
I think its also important to remember that this investigation started because a man linked to the video was murdered. I don't think the motives of the police were to try to bring down the mayor.
