Are you specifically looking for a store similar to Whole Foods, which I believe offers mostly organic/local/ more healthy foods?

If so, maybe a place like Tau might be what you are looking for. http://www.marchestau.com/index.html

If you're looking for regular grocery stores (not specifically organic), there are a bunch ...
    - Adonis http://adonisproducts.com/
    - PA http://www.supermarchepa.com/
    - Mourelatos http://mourelatos.com/
    - InterMarché http://www.lintermarche.ca/
    - Esposito http://espositofoods.com/
    - EuroMarché - http://euromarche.ca/
    - Kim Phat - http://www.kimphat.com/
    - Montreal Public Markets (Jean-Talon, Atwater, Maisonneuve, Lachine) http://www.marchespublics-mtl.com/English/

I don't know what area you live in, but I would check the local newspaper, usually there are small ads for little local grocery stores within the pages of the local papers.

From what I hear Whole Foods is a giant rip off.

My family only drink Lactantia milk and C&T is the only store that sells it cheap as a regular price.

Subscribe to get basket from farms during summer... it is the best you can get. The downside is that you have to pay in advance! :/

Lufa farms has baskets year round and you can pay as you go. Produce is either organic or grown w/o chemical pesticides - so it is on the pricey side.
