Anyone know of a store still taking preorders for ps4?

I think you're out of luck. The allocation and fulfillment process has already begun.

Keep in mind the release day is only 1 week away. Sony has the numbers of the units they need to ship to various retailers for pre-orders.

And keep in mind the volumes associated with this process. They can't do it with only a couple of days before release date.


Now, I know that some local FutureShop stores know if their pre-orders will be fulfilled or not, and/or if there are any extra consoles for release date sales. A couple of stores I've spoken to know these numbers and in both cases they will have all of their pre-orders filled, with these extra consoles. They are not taking pre-orders any longer as the extra consoles are to ensure they have consoles on the shelf on release date.

You might want to check with your local store to see what their numbers will be, and strategize your position to get one on release date.
