Last week, I got a $10 GC off $20 purchase when I spent $50 using HBC CC.

Tried to use it yesterday. Cashier kept on insisting that the GC was not mine, the promotion was given to senior citizens and I must've have gotten the GC from a senior. I said no, but she was insistant. Whatever. Then she wouldn't let me use the GC because I had FPC and insisted that I had to pay $20 OOP to use the GC. Fine. Left everything there.

Went back today at a different cashier. Everything went smoothly until she tried to put in the $10 after FPC. She had to call someone with a key. The guy comes and then saw my FPC. He looks at it and says he has to verify the FPC because Zellers got an email saying that these coupons are fake. Really? Meanwhile, line was getting long. Then cashier starts saying how customer service is really bad, bad for the cashier and bad for the customers. I have never heard of an employee dissing their own employer while on the job.

Anyways, this is what I got.

1 Clean & Clear acne treatment, 9.99
OOP 1.38

Too bad I don't have an SPC card or I would've saved even more.

yeah, we actually did get an email about the stouffers FPC saying they are fake. If they read the email we recieved though, the fake ones were printables with the max value already filled in. Gotta read them emails folks.

The fake ones must be the same ones posted and distributed on a FB couponing site last week by the Mods there. So sad.

It's understable for them to check the coupon if they received an email from the company. but having problems with the GC, ANNOYING!!
