best luck ever at Carlton Cards

Walked into our local mall today with DH and DS and couldn't believe my eyes. Our Carlton Cards were selling off a number of cards at 5/$1 which included Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentines Day, Communion and Confirmation cards. Man, it was like a gold mine all for us. My DH and DS did their share of card selecting. Only catch was it had to be the five, couldn't have an odd number. That's ok, we selected 55 cards. DH and I picked out cards for each other even and we were both ok with that. I didn't read his and vice versa.

Total pre-discount was $235.04 with tax

Total spent $12.43

saved $222.61

Still can't believe it. I may have to organize tonight into a file and see if there are any more I may need. Don't mind buying for a few years worth when I can spend less than at any dollar store. And, DH who isn't totally into the coupon thing was positively behind me on this one and even attempted to distract DS (who is 6) for a bit longer so I could look!

WTG! My carlton cards had the same thing. I bought 5 and one for a dollar for my bf bdat next month. Its priceless his card. Im thinking of posting it for jokes!

I went to Carlton Cards store couple of weeks ago and bought 72 cards (some multipacks) for 7.70! The value was 187.55. I saved tons of money and got cards for at least 2 years If only stamps were not that expensive to send abroad

I am lucky, I only have a few to send via Canada Post, most are hand delivered. Well, except for Christmas cards that is, lol!
