A teenage boy had just passed his driving test and inquired of his father as to when they could discuss his use of the car.

His father said he'd make a deal with his son: 'You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut. Then we'll talk about the car.'

The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer, and they agreed on it.

After about six weeks his father said, 'Son, you've brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't had your hair cut.

The boy said, 'You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair...and there's even strong evidence that Jesus had long hair.'

Your going to love the Dad's reply:

    To this his father replied,
'Did you also notice they walked everywhere they went?'

[QUOTE=Mmmme...;3716607]You will not attend another concert or just those artists?
ZZ Top doesn't as large a repetoire as Aerosmith and others.

I know I paid a small fortune to see Neil Young more than a year ago,
and thankfully he played for a couple of hours...
Saw Bad Company at Rama last year and they were on for close to 2 hrs.
One thing about Rama, if you are a regular there, you have access to free tickets. You also have to be there to pick them up even if you are giving them away.
Last night a good portion of the audience was there because they got free tickets. Most of them were wearing ear plugs. There were scalpers and many others trying to get tickets.... I am thankful for Wolfie's generosity.

No just Aerosmith, they were good, but just not worth the money. When ZZ Top played the Gardens they were ok but not great, but the band who was the warm up was very good, but can't remeber who that was. Think it was the mid 80's. Have only been to Rama for a TSN Curling skins games and a great concert by Roger Hogdson. Never seen Neil but should. seeing Paul rogers in Sept.

Am seeing Paul and Bachman Turner next month and the Moody Blues
in September. I chose a different venue than Ontario Place as late September
you can never be too sure of the weather. Besides, if it is raining, for my 2-3 hundred dollars I would rather be in a concert hall. Am heading to New York soon, for several days, so am going to see who is playing in that neck of the woods

    morning all,
thanks for the trivia, I lost interest about entering them...
wishing you all the best for a good weekend.
I'll be heading to Bracebridge to visit Santa at his cottage LOL... or at least that's what my friend and I will be telling her kids....
With an overcast day, it should be good for that.. not blistering hot like Kempenfest last weekend!

Have fun in New York!]

Well I’m off too, everyone have a nice weekend. To those starting vacation have a good time but be careful. On mine I broke the back off my lower back tooth, but it did not hurt and sandpaper took off the sharp edge. Still waiting till next week to get it fixed. Then two days later the kneeboard almost may me a eunuch. I had the nastiest 5” x 2” purple bruise for over 2 weeks just above the boys. So I guess it could have been a lot worse. Then the other day just got up and I thing I felt something tear on the back of my right heel. I can walk normal, but if I bend from the waste on my left leg, it’s like a hot poker been jammed in my heel. So if things work in three’s it should be over. To the doctor this afternoon and if it’s not too bad a little sailing on Lake Ontario on Sunday. Take care!
