Thread: .99 bandages on clearance @ SDM
-
Mon, Aug 8th, 2011, 01:27 PM #1
I went to SDM this morning to get my free Purex laundry detergent, and found Elastoplast waterproof bandages (16 count) on the clearance shelf for 1.99 each. I used my $1 off coupons to get 5 boxes for 0.99 each.
I know you can probably find bandage deals for less than that, but I figured having waterproof ones around would be handy for swimming. Plus they won't expire until 2015 anyway.
The cashier didn't make any fuss about the coupons. She read them and punched them in, simple as that. She even gave me one cent overage on the Purex!

I hate waiting until I "need" a bandage and paying full price. I love to stock up when I find a deal. WTG!

No, this was from a coupon insert. I'm pretty sure it was from Smartsource (probably the Smartsource from June?) because that's the only insert that I can get multiples of easily... the others are quite the treasure hunt for me! LOL.
Glad that others find it a good deal too - since I'm new to couponing sometimes I'm not the best judge of a good save yet so I'm glad to know this was a good buy.
Hope more people will have luck finding good Elastoplast sales too!!

Hahaha, I was actually surprised to see an expiry date on the box when I picked it up. But then I thought about it and thought that maybe because there are still medicinal ingredients, that they will need to put an expiry date.
Although I've once asked my bf's dad, who is a pharmacist, about expiry dates on medicines and he says that typically medicine doesn't expire in the same way that food does, but that they can lose their effectiveness over time. So that's why you should try not to use medicine that has already expired.- Couponing since May 27, 2011 -

they were on gocoupons too but only 75 cents, I have a ton and a few $1 ones, I hope my SDM clears them out too, I always see them for 4-something at walmart on sale! and due to allergies it's one of only 2 brands I can buy. Thanks for the heads up!

That's awesome. Thought I was doing ok a couple of weeks ago to find them $2.50, thinking SDM might be a stop for me soon! None clear out the same as the other though, perhaps I will be fortunate. Great find!
