A guy named Wes was the recipient of the $15.00 card Vike donated,
I believe from the smile he gave me, that he was quite elated,
When you are at Princess Margaret, sometimes your day is long,
& one of the most turbulent feelings is when you're fighting to be strong,
Down in the beautiful mezzanine, I saw the angst on his face,
He looked so worried & upset & as he kept up a nervous pace,
He finally sat down so I had to ask him if he was alright,
He was waiting for his Mom; yet another lady on a cancer plight,
When I asked him if he was ok, he shrugged & said he wasn’t sure,
A young man who was only 20 told me that he wished there was a cure,
I asked him if he was hungry for lunch & he told me he had no cash,
So, I handed over that gift card & I know it was a smash,
I told him where the gift card came from & about a $15. thread,
& also asked him to keep the faith for what might lie ahead,
I also met his Mom & she gave me a heart warming hug,
We both agreed that kindness is even better than any drug,
The gift carding will continue as she’s going to do the very same thing,
So dear people from this silly thread…just look what we can bring!!!
