took the kidlet out today with her friend to fly kites.. she just got a brand new kite with a mermaid on it.. thankfully it wasn't a windy day because the kidlet kept giving it string and i guess the end of the string was not tied to the handle (i mean really?? you'd think it would be a given for the string to be tied securely to the handle) and we nearly lost it, it landed right on the edge of the ocean just before it could land in the water... so we said the kite is a mermaid and it was trying to go home

That happened to me with a fishing rod from Canadian Tire!!! It was a made for kidlet set for $19.99 and had rod, reel, hooks, bobbers, etc. Everything needed to have a first fishing experience.... plus it was PINK! Yeah so I get a bite (or maybe we were trolling and it got stuck on some weeds lol) and then ZZZIIINNNNGGGGGG! All I had was a cute pink rod in my hands, no line or anything. CT was awesome about refunding though.

little hard to refund when all you have is a little plastic handle left lol thankfully it landed right beside a seagull and the wind wasn't that strong so it remained down while the kid cried looking and running to try and find it.. afterwards she was ok with the story i came up.. the mermaid trying to go out to sea because mermaids belong in the water not the air

So yeah, the Canucks officially suck!
I thought that Trevor Linden being in the office would catapult some changes but maybe next year?? I hope..... I so miss the Canucks of 2011. What fun that was, O-M-G! I might have to find pics of how much fun that was. Ok, so hockey is over.

Well I sure blew off the weekend!! I had nothing planned and no obligations, so was going to tackle some laundry and house cleaning. And get ut and enjoy the weather. Well, I don't think I have gotten out of my jammies since Friday night and Sage and I have had more naps than I can count. LOL.. I guess I needed a recharge. She is such a snuggler, it makes it hard to get out of bed.

I did make a delish breakfast this morning with free range eggs....mmmm. And now I am going to attempt put together some shelves.

Oh yeah the kitty enjoyed napping with us too.

well.. that kinda sucked.. i spent nearly 2 hours in the walk in clinic waiting my turn.. poor kidlet had to sit through the wait (thankfully we both had entrainment but she was hitting her limit come the end of it) showed the doc where it hurt (that sounds a tad dirty) he gave me 3 prescriptions.. went to pick them up and 3 prescriptions were over $60! i gagged a little at first then questioned the insurance info.. it seems the insurance i had on file had expired and they had to dig up the one on my hubby's account (they gave a new card about 2yrs ago... that shows you how often i get drugs) so that took another 10-15 min of waiting... thankfully cut the price in about half... ask about info sheets/paperwork on the drugs (lists side effects and stuff).. woman said they were in the bag with the drugs and receipts for each... sure enough get home and nope! so off i go to google.. pfft

now waiting for drugs to kick in... you don't realize how much you appreciate little things.. like being able to bend down and put on your socks.. until you can't do it.. hubby had to put my socks on today.. and i didn't even try to wear pants (thankfully being female i was able to scramble up some sort of dress)
