    So ...

    I got my Tax refunds last week. Today I went out and bought lowering springs to make my car lower by 1 inch.

    Brought the boxes in and my mom got angry that I am wasting my money on my car which depreciates.

    I understand that a vehicle depreciates but I enjoy cars and I am not excessively putting alot of customize into it.

    So far since I bought my car:
    - Tints
    - Clear hood/fender/bumper film protector on the paint
    - Rims and summer tires [used OEM rims with winter tires]

    Projects and final details:
    - Lowering springs
    - Front and Rear sway bar
    - Short Ram Air intake [performance air filter for engine]

    That's all I want to do to my car which is not excessive in my opinion

    But my parents doesn't understand that I enjoy it

    this has been a wonky week... kidlet had today off.. Pro-D day... kinda annoying makes for a 3 day school week! tomorrow is her last swimming class. then hubby has a 3 day weekend and friday she has a "movie night" fundraiser at school

    Hey win. Everybody deserves to have a hobby or something they treat themselves to especially when you work as hard as you do. I have many! But then my mom never really got involved in my finances even when I was still at home. As long as I helped her out when she asked. A car, which you see and spend time with everyday as it gets you around should be both reliable and look and feel the way prefer it. So, you should be allowed to put some money into it and I agree - that what you have done is not excessive. I would say as long as you are not neglecting any other financial responsibilities you should be able to have "spending money" to spend on what you want.
