    Was it a manager's special with red and white stickers on them? A Clearance shelf? Close to expiry?

    Nope, it had no sticker on them. I actually found them on a cardboard display thingie. Today there was none left but then I went to the section where all the chips were, there were lots left. There was no sale sign, but they scanned for $1!!

    Same here. I checked today and the $2.99 price tags were new weekly price not a regular shelf tag. There were few varieties though. May be if some posts the picture it might help. I don't have the coupon but price is still good.
