I really despise those who abuse the money back guarantees from companies, and claim them to be Mail in rebates. The 2 are totally different things altogether! One is in case you are not satisfied with the product, the other is a bonus for being a loyal customer...
Abusing a money back guarantee with make it harder for consumers to get great coupons and MIR's in the future... Unless it says Mail in rebate, don't send it in in order to make a few bucks!

Don't you usually have to send back the product for the money back guarantee?

I agree!! Sometimes there are people that ruin these offers, coupons, guarantees etc for everyone else. I have never did the "money back guarantee" thing before. If I buy something and didn't like it, I throw it out. I'm sure if the product cost me more money than 5-10$ then i'm sure I would complain. But I can't be bothered with that stuff, don't have time for it.

most companies honor their product (well i've had a few that have "passed the buck" and claimed the product never had an issue it left the factory just fine it was an issue with the shipper/store) i've never used a money back guarantee as a form of mail in rebate or way to get my money back.. to me.. thats only if you wildly dislike the product and plan never to buy it again

I assume this must have been what one girl I overheard talking to her friend must do and trust me she was not being quiet about it, I was actually on the opposite side as them (example they were in aisle 1 they were in aisle 2 so there was a shelf between us) . I was in the make up section at Wal-Mart bout a year or so ago and there were two teenage girls there (after hearing this I did look to see who they were as I walked by to head to check out) her friend made a comment about the cost to which she said oh I don't pay for it this, they have a 100% money back guarantee so I just use different address to get my money back, I tell them their product does not work for me and they refund my money and I get my make up for free it is actually why I use this brand because I don't have to pay for it. I assume they must not make you send back the product.
