I do not know what to think but Russia should go home !!!!!

I've read lots about them since Maidan, they are ultra-nationalists, paramilitary, and not aligned with Ukraine's regular army or police forces.

In Vatican City, the Pope met with veterans of the war against Russian aggression in Eastern Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military delegation, which participated in the 59th international military pilgrimage in Lourdes (France), consisted of veterans wounded in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, servicemen of the National Guard and Ukrainian Army, students of the Sahaydachnyi National Academy of the Army, the Academy of State Border Service of Ukraine, military chaplains, and families of soldiers. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Mikhaylo Koltun of the Ukrainian-Greek Catholic Church.

Pope Francis met with Ukrainian soldiers during his general audience on St. Peter’s Square in Vatican on Wednesday, May 24.
“I will not stop praying to the Lord for peace for the dear Ukrainian land,” the Pope pronounced at the end of the general hearing.

On the visit with Pope Francis, the Ukrainian delegation presented the multimedia project “The Victors” dedicated to soldiers and volunteers who were mutilated in the Donbas war, but who did not lose strength and want to return to a fulfilling life.

Russian proxies launch 61 attacks against Ukrainian positions in Luhansk, Donetsk and Mariupol sectors.

Spokesperson of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine said, "Over the past week, the sappers cleared mines from 9.5 hectares of territory in ATO zone, neutralizing 326 explosive devices, as well as 32.5 kilometers of road."

Colonel Oksana Havryliuk has noted that in general, since the beginning of the antiterrorist operation, the engineer unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized 150,860 mine and explosive devices, cleared more than 3,000 hectares of the territory in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, 990 kilometers of roads and traffic routes and over 17.5 kilometers of railway lines.

#DonbasReports: This morning at 06:40 frontline #Krasnohorivka, a Ukraine-controlled Donetsk suburb, came under 2-hour bombardment. The school no. 2 was set on fire by a projectile, the hit on Krasnohorivka hospital wounded 2 women at neurology unit. The police have evacuated medical staff and patients from the burning hospital under shelling.
Two more civilians got wounded being at home, the police reports.

According to Zhebrivskyi (head of Donetsk Oblast military civil administration), MLRS BM-21 Grad, tanks and mortars were used by Russian-hybrid forces to attack Krasnohorivka.
As always, the Russian-hybrid forces had no military purpose attacking civilian homes and infrastructure, it was just another harassing bombardment to keep the military and civilians alarmed and to undermine the normal life in a settlement outside of the occupied zone.

Ihor Drobot passed away in Mechnikov Hospital, Dnipro on May 27, 2017.
Ihor was born in 1969 and raised in the town of Borova, but moved to Kyiv with his family. He served as lieutenant at the Bohuna Military College and was soon deployed to the war zone. He was gravely injured during a Grad attack on Avdiyivka, evacuated, reanimated, but his heart finally gave out.

Ihor was part of a civil-military group in the Armed Forces that evacuated the bodies of dead heroes and delivered them home.

Soldier Oleksandr Shkrebets passed away in hospital on May 26, 2017 without regaining consciousness. His death was due to the heavy trauma he’d received during combat duty.

Oleksandr was born on January 17, 1972 in Hlobyne, Poltava Obl. He joined Company No.3 of the Poltava Battalion on May 19, 2014 and took part in some of the fiercest battles in the war zone.
In 2015, Oleksandr suffered a severe contusion during an explosion in Krymske, Luhansk Oblast, but continued to serve till winter 2017. Against his will, he left the Armed Forces. He recently suffered a stroke at home and fell into a coma.

Oleksandr leaves behind five children.

Russian hybrid troops and mercenaries launch 44 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donetsk, Luhansk and Mariupol sectors. Heavy caliber artillery, forbidden by the Minsk Agreements, were used in 8 of these attacks.

Soldier Serhiy Kolotun, born May 3, 1984, was laid to rest on May 30, 2017 in Starobilsk, Luhansk Oblast.

Serhiy served in the Aidar Battalion.
Serhiy disappeared in the combat zone back in 2014. His remains were identified recently thanks to DNA testing.
Serhiy leaves behind his wife and two children.
