A day of commemoration, reflection and prayer... 20 February 2014 marks the deadliest day of the Euromaidan protests. 48 protesters were killed in the shootings which started on 18 February. Overall, over 100 protesters lost their lives in the Euromaidan revolution. They became known as the "Heaven's Hundred".

Yuriy Kushnir passed away in Kyiv Military Hospital on February 18, 2018. Yuriy was wounded by an enemy sniper near Maryinka on July 30, 2017. After long and painful months of treatment, his heart and body could no longer bear the strain…
Yuriy was born in 1978 in Zhylyntsi, Khmelnytsky Oblast. In 2014, he volunteered for the front, and later served as sergeant and radio operator in the 46th Special-Purpose Battalion “Donbas-Ukrayina” of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

23-year-old Sabina Halytska was killed in enemy shooting near the village of Katerynivka, Luhansk Oblast on February 20, 2018. Russian terrorists fired on a group of military medics who were providing medical care to the civilian population.
Sabina was born in Bastova Rudnya, Zhytomyr Oblast on September 20, 1994. She graduated from Medical College in Novhorod-Volynsky, and worked as a midwife in Barashivsky District Hospital and Emilchynsky Central Hospital. She enlisted in April 2006 and served as senior nurse in the medical corps of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. The guys in the brigade affectionately called her “Krasunya” (Beauty)…

Valeriy Yehorov was killed on February 19, 2018 near the village of Pisky, Donetsk Oblast when the enemy opened fire with AGS-17.
Valeriy was born in Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast on December 17, 1989. In 2008, he graduated from Pryluky Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, specializing in Education Organization, and in 2013 from the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University. On December 25, 2015, he signed up for military duty for the third time. He served as sergeant, commander of a reconnaissance division in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.
Valeriy leaves behind his grieving parents and elder brother.

25-year-old Viktor Panin, call sign “Bily” (Whitey), died on February 20 near Avdiyivka, Donetsk Oblast. When the shelling began, the men ran towards the shelter. Viktor stumbled and his machine gun started firing. He died from his wounds on the way to the hospital.
Viktor was from Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast. He joined the fight way back in 2014 and served first in the 129th Separate Reconnaissance Brigade and then as junior sergeant in the 131st Separate Reconnaissance Brigade.

24-year-old Illya Serbin was killed near Svitlodarsk Bulge, Donetsk Oblast on February 22, 2018.
Illya was born in Kryukivshchyna. Kyiv Oblast in 1993. He served in the 25th Battalion “Kyyivska Rys” of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and fought in Chermalyk, Pavlopil, and Hranitne. In 2015, he married Yulia Mykytenko who serves in the same battalion. In 2017, he enrolled in a distance learning course in psychology at the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University in Kyiv.
