Thread: Charmin coupon question

Hi I was hoping somebody might be able to give me a little advice about the Charmin coupon from P&G online. This coupon says to be used on 12 double roll packs or larger. Right now, Target has the 6 mega rolls (equivalent of 4 single rolls per roll) on for $4.99, and they have also released their own store coupon for $1 off. This would be a great stack, but I am not sure if P&G considers this pack as a qualifier for their coupon. The thing is, 6 Mega rolls = 24 "regular" rolls, while 12 double rolls = 24 "regular" rolls, so you're getting the same amount. I even looked at the details on the bottom of the package, and the double rolls have 165 sheets on each roll (1980 sheets per pack), while the mega rolls have 328 (1968 sheets per pack), so they're almost exactly the same amount. Going down to square footage, 12 double rolls = 215 square feet, while 6 mega rolls = 214 square feet. So because of this SLIGHT difference, with the 6 mega rolls being the "smaller" pack, do you think this means it doesn't qualify?

I know ultimately whether or not we can use them comes down to the cashier or manager's discretion... however, if it's not a qualifying item I don't even want to try as the store may not get reimbursed.

Imo the sum total of toilet paper has to be the same or more so yes it qualifies. Just because there is less cardboard/packaging does not mean there is less toilet paper as you said.

The coupon shouldn't apply to the mega rolls because it's different from the double roll pack. I read it to mean 12 or more individual rolls, not overall sheets etc.

I am more inclined to agree with your original opinion as it was more along the lines of what I was thinking anyway. Target's regular price for those 6 mega rolls was $9.49 and on Walmart's website it shows the regular price of the 12 double rolls also as $9.49. Charmin does have 4 regular roll packs, and I believe that it's small packages like this that they meant to exclude. I tried using their "contact us" form on the P&G website to ask, but after three tries I don't believe it works, and their Facebook page seems to be American so I didn't waste my time there. Thanks for giving me your opinion
it helps to see what others think!
