Thread: Pink Stickers at RCSS
-
Fri, Aug 19th, 2011, 10:08 AM #1
So I always have trouble with using coupons on pink sticker items at the RCSS in Fort McMurray. The CS Supervisor/Managers there will not allow it. I was sick of getting the attitude from them (I use coupons on pink sticker items at Extra Foods and out of town), so I emailed Loblaws. Here is the response.
Dear Ms Hahn,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us.
I have been able to confirm that you can use coupons on clearance and stickered product and I have taken the opportunity to follow up with XXXX, store manager at our Fort McMurray Superstore to ensure that her team is aware of this.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused you and if I can be of further assistance, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help you.

Had the same problem with the Wholesale store, which usually follows the same policies as RCSS. Also have an email in to them so would like to see their policy about using coupons on pink stickered items.

I hate it when people don't know their own policy and treat customers badly who do. Thanks so much for this post.

Great job. It is nice that they actually called the store and didn't make you carry that email with you all of the time!

I don't understand why they get their tail in a knot about letting us use coupons. They are the same as cash in that they get their money - just not from us. They treat us as though we are stealing something from the store instead of being glad that they sold an item they may not have sold if we didn't have a coupon to try it out.
It boggles my mind how smart people can sometimes be so stupid.

I had the manager of our Atlantic SS doing the overrides for my cashier yesterday and he didn't know a thing about coupon policies and such - so I educated them both! lol... just that they need an override after $10 in coupons and every coupon after $10 needs it, he started to walk away after he did the first one and I told him he better hang out with me for a while til they were all in. I scored a great deal on Soft Lips - they were in the bin with the 50% stickers... I had them scanned and they were $3.19 so they rang in at cash for $1.60 and I had the $3 WUB2 so got them for .10 each. I stocked up for stocking stuffers and gave the girl behind me in line a few coupons so she could go get some too, then the cashier asked for a couple so she could get some on her break - it was awesome!!

Thanks for this post-extremely helpful to me as I've recently had the same issue at RCSS is Simcoe, On. They were soooo sure that I was not able to put a coupon towards a pink stickered item- they are calling it stacking!!!! I knew they were wrong at that for sure but I didnt feel like fighting them on it. Next time i am going to stand my ground on that one!!! Thanks!

Where did you get the Soft Lips coupons? I've had problems at RCSS and at Rexall in Winnipeg. The Rexall manager acted like I was from outerspace when I wanted to use a coupon for a deodorant that was on sale I forget how much but with the coupon it would have been 50 cents each. She said they were already on sale and couldn't believe that I wanted to get it cheaper than that and still wouldn't let use the coupon. Although she did ask me where I got my coupons from I said what does it matter you can't use them anyway the item is on sale lol. I asked customer service at RCSS for a coupon policy which I had my coupon binder out and open on the cart and when she saw it she said they don't to tell me what it is because there is no extreme couponing here. I said yeah well we will see about that. I did my shopping and when I got to the cash the cashier had a question about a coupon to be amazed the CS was the manager she was POed when she saw that I saved 70% on my bill LOL.
