I am honoured to be the recipient of such positive wishes & thoughts.
On Tuesday, I am back at Princess Margaret Hospital. I don't know what to expect, but I will be asking for some guidance as to how to approach the drug company for reimbursement for my expenses related to the study drug that caused my cataracts. I am very careful with money & this expenditure was not in my budget (or on my horizon for that matter)
But............ I do love Bruce Springsteen! He makes me smile with this song. May all of us have many sunny days ahead.

Hello & good afternoon. I had a very long day at PMH. I wasn't expecting to be there all day, but I've hit a bump in the road in regards to my health. I'm back in treatment, tumours grew again in the month that I was off of the drugs. I'm taking this one day at a time & hoping that I can get this back under control.
Damn it I am so tired of this.
Oh, crap! So very sorry, Loocie...

So, I am back in the sarcoma fighting saddle. My lung tumours have shown signs of growth, so I am back on the drug. It did seem to be effective in preventing the tumours from growing. I'm just sad, because I was starting to feel normal again & this has knocked me down. The drugs I take alongside this chemo drug are also not so nice. But, for now this is my plight. I am sill going to rise up to this fight. Also just waiting for my cataract surgery on my right eye. I hope it will be sooner rather than later. I was pretty surprised to get this news & I'm dealing with it as best I can.
Oh, Loocie, damn, damn! I'm so sorry you've received this news, and I hope and pray that once again, with the help of those meds, you'll be able to rise up once more. Bless you, Sweetheart.
"Rise Up" lyrics
ANDRA DAY LYRICS
"Rise Up"
You're broken down and tired
Of living life on a merry-go-round
And you can't find the fighter
But I see it in you so we gonna walk it out
And move mountains
We gonna walk it out
And move mountains
And I'll rise up
I'll rise like the day
I'll rise up
I'll rise unafraid
I'll rise up
And I'll do it a thousand times again
And I'll rise up
High like the waves
I'll rise up
In spite of the ache
I'll rise up
And I'll do it a thousand times again
For you [4x]
When the silence isn't quiet
And it feels like it's getting hard to breathe
And I know you feel like dying
But I promise we'll take the world to it's feet
And move mountains
Bring it to it's feet
And move mountains
And I'll rise up
I'll rise like the day
I'll rise up
I'll rise unafraid
I'll rise up
And I'll do it a thousand times again
For you [4x]
All we need, all we need is hope
And for that we have each other
And for that we have each other
We will rise
We will rise
We'll rise, oh oh
We'll rise
I'll rise up
Rise like the day
I'll rise up
In spite of the ache
I will rise a thousand times again
And we'll rise up
High like the waves
We'll rise up
In spite of the ache
We'll rise up
And we'll do it a thousand times again
For you oh oh oh oh oh [3x]<i style="box-sizing: border-box;">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmHfo_3EGFA
Attachment 315705 Keep smiling my beautiful friend and keep the faith. Prayers and big hugs to you always :rose:
Loocie- I am so sorry to hear about your setback! Deep breaths, my friend! Meditation, music therapy, hugs galore, fine wine, lemon merangue pie, fluffy puppies, grandchildren' s smiles, roses, lilacs, the first song of a robin in the spring, the call of a loon on a summer lake, Autumn leaves, visualizations, Canada Geese honking along, fresh strawberries, a warm sweater on a chilly day. Sending you all the "good thoughts" I can come up with in a couple of minutes. We're rooting for you!
Getting ready for a break, camping makes me one!
Once the gear is in the car, who knows where it may end up going?
