Loocie, I think you are getting your chemo today and I am thinking about you, my friend. We are resting under the covers while DH's family meets up with long-time friends and takes the kids bowling. Our step-grandson became fascinated with my knitting bag and wanted me to teach him how to "sew", as he put it. I rigged up some large needles and it happened to be variegated wool which proved helpful in keeping track of the stitches. He managed to do very well knitting a whole row! His sister came by, as well as my DIL who showed an interest in learning too. So maybe today we'll have a knitting circle!
These are certainly precious times and the memories you spoke of in you beautiful poem.
