Thank you for the update. I'm sorry to hear about the new growth but,"down but not out". That's the attitude to have. And I love it! That's what will continue to get you through. Enjoy Cat Stevens, you've earned the night out!

Thanks so much to all of you wonderful caring people. I am still slugging it out with that nasty old sarcoma. It is trying to get the better of me in very sneaky ways. This really effects everyone in my life & it is hard for me to see them worry so much about me.
Back at PMH next week for my once over with my team.
Feeling about 60/40 as an old friend of mine used to say. One the plus side, my new leg is working out well.

Hello Loocie! I don't think I've posted before, but I've tried to read most of your journey. I am smiling at your going to see Cat Stevens. When I got married the first time, my husband was Roman Catholic and we got married in a Roman Catholic church here in my home town. They said we couldn't have any "modern music" - only hymns. Well, "Morning Has Broken" IS a hymn, so we had it played at our wedding. (I think the priest might have had a second thought if he had known that it was made famous by a muslim singer.)
My dh (second dh) is also battling cancer and is on a clinical trial as he has reached the point where other meds have started to fail him. I hear you when you talk about fatigue and up days and down. He has been through a very challenging year with "side-effects" of the radiation treatment that he had 12 years ago. But, as you say, time means that new approaches and new meds and new "authorities" have the chance to evolve.
I wish you well in your continued journey and send you all my best for every ounce of good luck and peace that can come your way!
Big hugs to you!

So, this weekend I have a conference. It should keep me out of trouble.
There are many of you effected by cancer's fallout. A wonder doctor I knew was a Psychotherapist used to offer what she called Bystander Therapy. (Dr. Julie Righter passed away quite suddenly in about 2011) It was designed to help those who are stuck in the fallout when they are living with someone with a chronic illness. I really think sometimes *they* are the forgotten victims & they deserve a lot of credit.
With gratitude all I can say is I do appreciate my family for putting up with me through this journey. I can be get very uptight sometimes.
Have a good weekend people!
