Update...
Back at the beginning of this thread, I announced that I met the criteria for the clinical trial to help me in my campaign to defend myself against this sarcoma I seem to be fighting. It is in both lungs.
Yesterday I learned that the drug is no longer working for me. My tumours have grown & we will have to go to another plan of attack.
So, as I sit here with virtually NO symptoms of lung sarcoma, kinda shaking my head, feeling a crushing sadness mixed with anger, & disbelief.....I have to pause. So......
I am taking December off. My Oncologist & my team at PMH agreed that it would be good for me to get a break from treatment. So, December will be mine. No trips into the big bad city & no jabs, scans or doctors. There is another clinical trial lurking in the ways that may be for me, but we're going to wait for a little while & let me have room to regroup & enjoy the season. So, I am looking forward to Christmas with my family & trying to leave this on the back burner for now.
This whole "issue" has been occupying my life for such a long time, now I will be doing my best to keep things on the lighter side of town.
I am a notorious fretting kind of girl, now I have to take a deep breath & find the switch to turn off the worrying.
Thanking you all for your continuing support & compassion.
Love to all!
Loocie

Hoping like crazy you are able to deal with everything.

I am glad you came to that decision Loocie, a month away from all things medical and instead interacting with your loved ones should give you great joy. Positive this will make a difference in your spirit and mood. Many hugs to you today!!

They say (or rather sing) "Tis the season to feel jolly!" Hoping that you get much "jolliness" in the month and just absorb all the love coming your way! Hugs and Love!

Enjoy the coming Christmas season, sweet lady, and try to think of only friends and family. Don't think of anything else. I know it's easy to say and hard to do though. Thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Hello dear people, I am starting to feel a little more like me. (being off the clinical trial drug helps) I'm staying clear of crowded shopping centres. I've done quite a bit of online shopping. It's more for the little guys any how.
What a beautiful video Mechman. Some people are gifted & that was so first class. Thanks for taking a moment to share.
It sure is nice to know that I am in your thoughts.
Is it me or just nostalgia speaking when I ask of you,
Are Christmas memories more precious as those years of living accrue?
Back when you were little & magic seemed so real,
Life to you was in a world that was really quite ideal,
Leafing through the catalogue & doing a little dreaming,
Hoping Santa knew you had behaved in ways that were redeeming,
Long before the high tech days & before unplugged was cool,
When the countdown was on for holidays & finally no more school,
My mom would disappear into her room with rolls of wrapping paper,
Sneaking a peak was tempting, but I could never pull off that caper,
The house always looked so nice decked in euphoric merriment,
Through my eyes now looking back it was really quite an event,
I realize now how my parents defined what it is to give your all,
& when I get the Christmas blues that’s the memory that I recall,
Sometimes at Christmas we grumble about how busy it tends to be,
Obligations & visiting those whom you don’t really care to see,
You are after all accumulating remembrances you can just chalk up to life,
Be as kind as your can to others, it will help you deal with strife,
Times may be hard for some of us, & we all have our concerns,
So my Christmas wish for all of you is that you have many happy returns.
p.s. A picture of my sister & I at Santa`s Village in Bracebridge On. (that place is still there) I was nearly 4 years old in the picture & I am told I had given myself a hair cut. I guess I was an avant-garde kind of kid.
