Well everyone, Loocie the Sarcoma Soldier is just checking in to say hello. Today is a good one for a few reasons. I do not have to go to the hospital today, I am planning some retail therapy & I had a nice talk on the phone with a former neighbour. I am looking forward to summer & feeling the warmth of the sunshine. I'm also feeling pretty good. I'm going to make lasagna today, listen to some tunes & have a main floor kind of day.

I'm happy that I have a few events to look forward to. Your messages are uplifting for me & I just want to let all of you know that I am humbled by your kindness. There are times when I don't want to talk about my health, as I feel there are times when I just have to put *it* on the back burner.

One of my favourite places to go when I was in my late teens & early twenties was Ontario Place. I'm remembering seeing some great bands there. It was such a great design with that revolving stage. A shame they took the Forum away. Remembering seeing Harry Chapin, BB King, Parachute Club & Livingston Taylor....

I used to go there all the time. I saw BB King also Ray Charles, and John Prine a few times. Loved it there was a real bummer when they closed it down.

It was a bummer & sad that Ontario Place turned into a very expensive place to spend a afteroon/evening. I loved going on picnics there.

I sure can't wait for some warm weather.

Ho Loocie! I was also a regular at the Forum at Ontario Place. I never liked sitting on the hill, preferred a seat. Same as you I saw Harry Chapin, and also John Prine. Oh those were fab memories. Three cheers for the warm weather soon to come!! Love it that you are home this week ( no hospital)

Oh, Loocie. Reading this thread brought both tears and smiles as I journeyed with you through the last 19 pages. Tears for the pain and the anguish you are going through... Smiles for all the wonderful love and support I am feeling from everyone... I am really sorry that I haven't kept in touch with all the wonderful SC friends here for the past 3 years. I know it is very shabby of me, but I have basically devoted most of my life to Ethan ever since that time we almost lost him.

It looks like you are in my neighbourhood a lot, so if you are up for it, and when you are comfortable, I will like to bring Ethan and have coffee with you. My place is just a block north of Eaton Center, and we are right in the Hospital belt.

Both Ethan and I are very good with hugs.

I will keep you in my prayers always. Thanks for sharing your journey with us... Your courage and bravery is very inspiring.

The summer of 1972 when I went on a road trip with my parents. he back of the picture is marked as Batchawana Bay. I had a nice holiday with my parents, but I remember being bored. In the fall of that year, I was starting grade nine & thought that I was ready to take on the world. I am probably one of the few people who sometimes take pictures the old fashioned way. I like to have pictures that I can look at & pass around.
