MY HUGE BRAG without coupons!

It was my daughter's 30th birthday Aug 7th and all she has been wanting for a long time is a deck where she can have people over to entertain have BBQ's etc. Her deck was split up into two levels where she couldn't even put a patio table for people to sit.
I knew she was going away to Montreal for 10 days, so I planned it ahead of time on how to do it for next to nothing ( I have to use so many different resources to get it done)
1) I used all my air miles to purchase the deck boards. I got 120.00 in air miles and the cost of the deck boards came to 118.97..wow just made it. 2) A house being build down the street and noticed they had 2 x 4's left over and asked them if I could have the left over pieces OH NO PROBLEM, so I got those to use to build the frame of the deck.
3) Next, we needed paint which is very expensive so I went to Surrey re use it (stores and people donate left over paint) and it's FREE. I had to do 4 runs there to get what I needed. It's not really the color I would of liked to have used but it worked and still looks nice and it was FREE
4) Needed deck screws and I remembered I had a Home Depot gift card for 30.00 and used that to get the screws.
It took 10 long days to get it build and all put together.
For her birthday prior to her leaving she got the whole conversational patio set from LD when they had their 75% off sale They gave it to us for 85% for being a floor model for 105.00. We got all the covers from LD at 75% off. Then at Jysk they had a free standing umbrella (floor model) for 40.00 instead of 80.00 !!! wow another good deal (Huge umbrella that covers most of her deck)
After the deck was built it now needed color so I went to Home Depot to have a look at their patio stuff and they had Martha Stewart outdoor patio pillows on for 5.00 clearance (reg price 17.99) great deal (got 4 of them)
Then I went to the dollar store and spent 10.00 in items to give the deck some color.
A friend of mine was at the swap meet and found this awesome sign used for advertisement of boats in a store. It has a florescent bulb under the pictures to light up at night time...this was the hardest part, all photo labs wanted 30.00 a pic to print a negative and I needed 4 of them. So I did some searching and found out Staples did prints on a plastic sheet for only 3.00 each (which works like a neg and it worked!!!!
So I put pictures of her trip to Cuba in it. She got home a few days ago and I was hiding out on her deck she walked in the door and all she kept saying was so my god, oh my god she walked out onto the deck saw me and screamed and ran back into the house.
So the surprise worked and she is very happy. She had people over for a BBQ last night we had enough food to feed 30 people, lol Isat back enjoyed and got waited on. I loved her bar set up on the night of the BBQ. She has enough room for at least 15 people now
In total the deck cost 67.00 to build !!! then the furniture was 175.00 now that is one heck of a deal and so proud of my brag, wish there were coupons I could of used for some of it but hey it was still cheap
Attached here are pictures of the new deck to have a look. It looks so much better at night time when it's all lit up with all the lights
Thank you for reading my brag...I am so excited I pulled it off
