Thank you, thank you, thank you to the people in Ottawa who restored my faith in humanity!!! My daughter went partying with friends in Ottawa, I guess she had too much fun, she lost her IPhone 5 and her Marc Jacobs purse with all her cards, drivers license, gift cards etc...she worked hard to save her money for these little luxuries!! She was very upset, my youngest daughter sent a text to my daughters phone and a girl replied saying she found the phone in a taxi!!! That was great news, but no one called about the purse...my daughter had to get a new drivers license, cancel all her cards etc..then today 2 weeks later her purse comes in the mail with everything in it! I wish there was a name or a number or a note so my daughter could thank them!!

Wow that's amazing.
I lost my wallet when I was young and partying and cops returned it with everything but all the cash gone.
Lucky her!

if it came from the mail, then there should be a "from" mailing address.

This is great news..& yes there are many good ppl in this world but the positive stories don't seem to steal the headlines as society seem to focus a lot on negativity.

... yes I lost my wallet over the summer, and all you do is drop it in the mailbox and the post office delivers it to your local office (they geo by the address on your licence) and they call you to come pick it up. Mine was returned sans money as well, but if they needed it that bad, then they can have it. Glad she got her stuff back!!

That is wonderful, glad she is okay too. There are some awesome people out there and they seem to show-up just when we need to be reminded that there are nice people like us out there. Glad you shared this and know that the Post Office kindly offers this service as well. Thank you for sharing.

I use to work for Canada Post in the office and many times would get wallets, purses, ID, etc. I would usually try to call the person to let them know I was mailing their items back; if I couldn't reach them I would just mail it to them. If you find any wallets, etc, the rule use to be that you could drop them into any Canada Post box and it will be mailed to the person.
