Things to shop.

I am moving to Toronto next week and everything is packed and ready; also booked the mover service (King's Transfer Van Lines) for the day. New job new place and I'm thinking of getting new things for my new apartment. I have basic things like mattress, cloths, brush, beauty kit, other accessories etc. but want all other things for a apartment. Can anyone help me with a list so that I could check it during my travel and shop for those?

Table and chairs
Sofa
Towels, face cloths for bathroom
Dish towels for washing and drying dishes
Items for the kitchen: can opener, cutlery, frying pan, spatula, serving spoons, wooden spoons, colander, knives for preparing food.

One thing to keep in mind (I learned this the hard way) - pack a "Right Now" box/bag.
Put in it things like a roll of toilet paper, soap, hand towels/paper towels, enough utensils to cover you and anyone helping you move, some snacks and water.

That way when you're moving in and busy unpacking, you'll have stuff right at hand that you'll need, instead of trying to find where they are packed.
