My only advice would be, if you're not in a huge rush, wait. There are new phones coming down the line in the fall which would mean new phones of course, and better deals on older ones. I'm sitting on my hands right now even though I'm itching to get an android.

I have a Samsung Galaxy and love it. Never used an iPhone though.
Isn't there always a newer phone coming out?

I have the Galaxy S as well and love it. Although I also have an iPod Touch. I think, but please correct me if I am wrong, that the iStore may have more apps for now, however the Android is catching up quickly and will pass them.
It was a tough decision for me as well, I would also suggest waiting a bit if you can.
As well, go into the store and ask what the differences are and look closely at both phones. What convinced me to get the Galaxy was that at the store I went to all of the staff were trading their iPhones in for the Android. I simply asked "Between the two what would you buy if you were getting one?" They had nothing to gain by telling me that.
Go on Youtube and search iphone vs. galaxy s and there a lots of videos out there that show both phones and what they do

I have the new galazy s 2 it is nothing less then amazing. I tried out boh and the galaxy s11 was the right choice for us. Sure iphone has more apps but andriod is catching up and has already been named the future. I have had mine for about a month now, if you have any questions just ask me

Of course id recommend going with the galaxy s2 i9100 rather then the older model...Last edited by Sally888; Tue, Aug 30th, 2011 at 10:37 PM.

Samsung Galaxy S! Or better yet, S2!
Apple is fine, I just think the UI is a little too simplistic. I like to see information on my homescreen (widgets) which is why I prefer the Android OS to iOS.
I'm still running with a Nokia 5800 because I can't afford a new phone... I'm waiting for Rogers to pick up the Galaxy S2 later this year.

I have 2 iphones (3g, 3gs) and just picked up the Samsung Gio.
From what I see, Andriod phones would give the users more control to their phones and not bound by iphone's 5 PCs limit.
I probably would ditch the iphone when they died.

Another thing to think about... the Galaxy has a removable battery. So if your battery starts to die, you can replace it. The iPhone doesn't.
As well, you can connect other devices to your phone. For example, I can connect my laptop to my phone and use my data plan to check out smartcanucks if I am in an area where there is no wifi.
On another topic? Does anyone know how to turn on or off a distinctive ring on the Galaxy? Funny story... my BF insists he doesn't snore, so one night I recorded an audio of him sawing logs with a giant chainsaw. Somehow, I have no idea how, it became a distinctive ring. Not only for him, but for anyone whose name begins with a J in my contacts. I can't figure out how to turn it off!!!!!
Embarrassing when someone is in my office and suddenly my phone starts snoring!Last edited by schwarzie; Wed, Aug 31st, 2011 at 07:51 PM.

You can go to anything and "set as ringtone"
or click select and then youll see the options...
I've been making my own ringtones with a computer program. I love it.
