Went to Walmart this afternoon. I told the cashier I was going to price match and use coupons so how would she like the coupons. She didn't reply and asked what I was price matching. I price matched only two items, Heinz beans and Ensure, both from SS. She calls a CSM to approve everything and then proceeds to ring in my purchases. Meanwhile a line is building up behind me so I tell two people that I will be awhile, so they might want to go to another till. By now the cashier is flustered and cannot think straight because she is trying to do the paperwork for the price matches. I hand her my coupons and then the fun begins!

She says, "I didn't know you had so many coupons. You're going to hold up the line." I don't reply to her comment. Then she sees my husband, who she thinks is another customer, and tells him, "This is going to take awhile."

She rings in 1 Nexxuss coupon and when I point out that I bought 2 shampoos and that she missed one coupon, she says, "But the shampoos are so small."

Then she drops one of the Listerine Zero bottles and somehow hits her finger (ouch!) so now she is getting upset.

Then she gets to the Heinz beans coupon and says, "You can't use a coupon for these. You already price matched." I state that price matching and using coupons are two different things. Then she says, "But that would make them free!!" ..... d'uuuuuhhhhh
I would have loved to say, "Isn't that the point of using coupons - to make things less expensive???" but I bit my tongue. However, my husband was laughing under his breath!

    So my brag today:
1 Miniwheats cereal @ $1.50 (box damaged) = $1.50 but has gas card on it!
2 Corn Pops cereal @$3.00 (boxes damaged) = $6.00 but both have gas cards on them!
    1 Eggo waffles @$1.97 - FPC = free
3 Heinz beans @ $0.65 - $1.00 = $0.95 (If this is the cashier's idea of free, I would hate to see what her math skills are really like!)
    2 Ensure @ $7.97 - 2 x $4.00 = $7.94
    1 Dole Pina Colada juice @1.82 = $1.82
    1 Hunts Snack pack lemon meringue pudding @ $1.25 - $0.30 = $0.95
    2 Nexxus shampoos @ $2.00 - 2 x $3.00 = +$2.00 overage
    2 Listerine Zero @ $3.37 - 2 x $3.00 = $0.74
    4 Beneful dog meals @1.60 - 2 x B1G1 = $3.20
    4 Scrubbing bubbles toilet gel @ $3.00 - 2 B1G1 = $6.00
    1 Purex @ $2.00 - $3.00 = +$1.00 overage
2 Hershey's chocolate bars for camping/smores this weekend!

By the way, if you're near Walmart in Swift Current, SK, they have about 100 boxes of the Purex at $2.00!!!

Ahahaha, that made my night! Those cashiers annoy me...those ones who don't bother to hide their disgust at your coupon genius. Jealous much?

Cashiers: first thing you need to learn coupons policie and understand the terms....
Cashiers should not make comments to feel bad or something if this is negative...I doubt this is their job to discourage and make feel people bad....just my 2 cents

Well most cashiers are not trained on coupons and definitely not to the extent that people on this forum understand.

How you described your shopping at Walmart with that cashier had me laughing out loud. Oh man! Great brag! I've had a cashier say well if you use that coupon on this product that's on sale then you'll be getting it for really cheap...I'm like yeah that's why I'm buying it. Or they say it's on sale and you're coupon is going to cover the cost of the product, ummm that's why I'm using the coupon and buying that product. It's funny

    2 Ensure @ $7.97 - 2 x $4.00 = $7.94
Good job you did today! I am new to this and I'd like to take you shopping with ME
Heck you know you could get paid to do this LOL

By the way where did you get the Ensure coupons from, I need to use it as a supplement regularly and it's SO expensive and I'm on disability. They just cut my food allowance because they changed the special diet requirement. Not being able to swallow foods apparently doesn't matter to the Ontario goverment any longer.

But seriously you did a great job. I see I have a lot to learn from you very saaaavy people!

Swift Current is the worst !!! LOL I was just passing threw a couple weeks ago and coupon-ed for pit stops .... The csm was .... But these coupons all have the same upc .... i was like ya duh .... it doesn't have a special box around it for a limit from a printer app, and if i choose to acquire a ton of inserts it is my prerogative to use them. It doesn't state one per customer. They all stated one per purchase. So she went to her manager LOL (CSM Who didn't have a clue going to the manager) .... And comes back eating crow cause she had to let me use them
