It was an unusual day here.....
Was out and about early.. and hot the market which was jammed.
Haven't seen it that busy so early in a very long time.
Hey Wolfie, we picked up some naturally cured bacon.....
It was very tasty and not full of water.... it was hand rubbed with seasonings
not injected with water like most bacon. Schneider's has one and PC has a couple.
We enjoyed BBQ bacon and tomato sandwiches for breakfast and wonderfully
strong coffee and fresh orange juice...
I headed out for a pedicure, and did a couple of errands and noticed the
skies above getting darker from the north heading south....
I made a quick stop at Starbucks and headed home and was in the garage
after putting my other car in the driveway and closing the sun roof...
the skies opened up like I haven't seen...
As I went in the house the power went off. I had to disable the garage door
in order to close it manually. It was off for just over 4 hours...
None of the local radio stations said a word about it. I have since heard but
haven't confirmed, that a Tornado touched down in my area. Quite
a number of larger trees were uprooted and knocked the lines down.

It was beginning to get warm in the house yet still cooler than outside...
and I was ready to go to sleep.....
That is my story and am sticking to it.

I now have to catch up on the trivia and cash track songs. Thank you
for you help with all of that.. and for all the reps, and to all of you who
were kind enough to post and PM me about football tickets...: top:

It is thundering and lightening again and the rain is
pounding against the windows....
I hope we do not lose power again....

That storm passed quickly.... at least 2 more on their way....
We needed the rain...
The grass was cut yesterday and fertilized.....
Hopefully the storms heading this way will arrive and leave without incident

evening Q sters,
it's been an interesting day. woke this morning with a migraine to kill for. downed some heavy duty drugs. these helped take some of te edge off the pain. made sure i had brekkie, then had to go out to do grocery shopping. was getting low on a lot of things. it was sunny & very out hot most of the day. was just getting home & unloading the car & thye thunder started. the skies were black to the north. just as i got everything into the house the rain came pouring down. we were lucky that the power didn't go out, for once. took some more drugs & headed up to bed to try & sleep this off. woke up around 6:30pm feeling a little better. made burgers & slaw for dinner & have been catching up with CG songs & the chatter here. it's been thundering & lighning here for the last half hour, but no rain. i'm hoping that once this storm system goes thru, this miraine will go away.

I think the top 500 is bogus, personally. It's too neat how there's always 1 Canadian song every 3 or 4 other songs. And I can't believe, when we can only choose 10 songs from the list, that anybody would select that song (or Patio Lantern, which was played earlier)...

I know there's no accounting for taste, but still

if it's going to be a top 500 of our favourite tunes, then it should be OUR favourite tunes, not a list that Q picks, then you get to pick from it.
