For example if the promotion is spend $50 and get $10 gift card,if I spend $50 and my total after manufacturer coupons is $20,when cashier will hit the final total button,screen will turn green and will tell the cashier too issue promo,but here at target nothing like that the promo is consider after coupons and discounts.

Yes -- and I did check the fine print - and with a magnifying glass! - and it says after coupons and no GCs. But here in Quebec, the fine prints ends in the middle of a sentence -- after they start talking about' if any portion of qualifying purchase is returned, the refund' >> that's the end of the line and the end of the paragraph on page 4 in our flier and I don't see the rest of that fine print about the GC promo anywhere in the flyer...??!!

Still debating whether or not I'll try to do it. Same with the SDM coupon they sent me for 20x wus $30. Decisions, decisions! lol

I'm sure they do get a prompt - at my TArget I've had clerks confused by what they see on the screen when I'm paying with a card and 1 is being issued - they get a prompt and if they don't scan a new card before taking payment the system jams up and eventually they call for help - I've had this happen twice and each time they are reading the screen out loud referring to the 'gift card' - that's with the $5 promos so maybe not with the spend x promos but why would they do it any differently?

I'd like to know if the folks who had problems last year with coupons were using manufacturer versus Target coupons

Thats true, but my experience is that some of the staff at SDM feel that they are the coupon police and will ignore the promt and determine themselves that the gift card etc. should not be applied.

With respect to Target, I have noticed that the some of the $5.00 gift card offers are not prompting in the machine and I have to point the cashier to the flyer. Hopefully this one will prompt properly.

I decided to give it a try. I bought a $25 LCBO GC and $30ish in merchandise and there was no prompt for the $10 Target card.

I know lots of people had problem last year,when they had promo buy 2 garnier products and get $5 gift card,because lots of us used the mcoupons and also tried to used the GC while one is issued,I had also the same issue with that promo,but it's not all the time,

He confirmed that nonTarget gift cards would work so long as I spent $50 in total before taxes.
Cashier had the prompt to give me the gift card. She had to accept 3 x.

Saw a Petro Can gift card but got the food gift cards (gifts).

Yes.
I suggest you let them know before you purchase, that you are there for the gift card deal on the first page.
I took the flyer with me so they could see. The cashier was not even aware of the deal.

Thanks for posting I didn't notice it in the flyer. I was going anyways enfamil is on sale so I'll be making a few transactions anyways to use the target coupons hope to find good diaper deal as well while I'm there!
