I don't know much about bulk food prices, can anyone who buys bulk foods at grocery stores take a peek at their specials and let us know if they're a significantly better price than the bulk bins at any other grocery store in town? This thread is currently associated with: Bulk Barn

Thanks Chantel....I do buy a very few things in bulk...gound almonds, or almond flour, is a must for me as i am allergic to wheat and don't want the carbs from rice flour and all the other gluten free baking stuff....
IT will be something i will check and i'll be happy to pass along any deals i see...

the sale prices i saw are good. quite good. hopefully it's a well used store so that items stay fresh

And it is all good quality stuff with a crazy selection, we used to live in SSM Ontario and it had a really nice one there, only downfall is that it is super easy to blow through the $$

Ooh good!
How's the candy selection and price? I always really really want to buy M&Ms and chocolate chunks for cookies, but they're so expensive elsewhere, or in packages.
I don't care if they're knockoffs ("chocolate and candy coated peanuts" is the same to me as peanut M&Ms), if that makes a difference.

The website is: http://www.bulkbarn.ca if you want to peruse some of what they carry.
I'm not much into chocolate so I couldn't give a guesstimate on price but I do have a weakness for flavored jelly beans & they were very reasonably priced considering the good quality of them(you could actually easily tell what flavor they were individually).
And I've seen coupons around for the Bulk Barn

see that a building is going up in front of the donut king and beside lynx grill (or whatever that restaurant's called now, lol) in that area, so maybe that's what's going in there.
