My mail comes in the afternoon now. Used to come by 10am everyday, they let our regular carrier go.. hes now a 'temp' so he doesn't have our route. Stinks because he was such a nice guy... Always made me laugh. See him on the streets and he'd ask what coupons I got today haha

I've been not receiving my Deal Extreme stuff... I even contacted the customer rep person but she told me to wait patiently. It's been almost 2 months already. *suspicious*

ugh, i haven't gotten much of anything this week either. nivea sample with coupons,peak freans bogo ...average of one lil thing here and there i can't remember what i got though.

we have had the same mail carrier for the year we have lived here. Usually received Monday mail later in the afternoon, but for the rest of the week it was before noon usually. We always can see when he is not working, as the mail arrives later on in the afternoon, guessing because the sub carrier does not know the route that well.

Since I have started extreme cpn usage, we always get mail every day.
This past Friday we waited, I must have gone out at least ever half an hour..........arrgg!! .....lol!!

Finally around 4.30 pm as we were about to drive away, I saw the substitute carrier accross the road, meaning that it was at least anotehr half an hour to get my mail, so Rick crossed over and asked him, and he said NO........yikes!!
I called again accross the street saying that I was waiting for time sensitive mail and could he please check for us......and he then did, handing over a few envelopes that were easily reachable.

Really, what was the big issue in giving us our mail, he could see me locking our front door so we were the people living at that address obviously ....lol!!!

Letter carriers actually aren't allowed to hand you your mail. I would guess he did to avoid being further bugged lol They have to place it in the desginated mail recepticle (ie: Mail box etc) The only exception is if your letter carrier knows you they will sometimes bend the rule.

A letter carrier could actually lose their job for handing mail to you instead of putting it in a box, because if it ever went missing it technically wasn't delivered to it's proper destination.

Also a lot of carriers will say they don't know when asked if they have government cheques as they get people following them around and harrassing them til it's delivered (not saying that is what you were waiting on, just a fun fact)

Just think, everytime your mail is late it is inconvenient to you but it's not because someone is being lazy it's because they are having a crappy day. They have until 8.30pm to deliver your mail to you. With the new mail delivery rules CP want to institue get used to late mail delivery! In places where the new rules are in effect people get asked to leave their porch lights on in the winter as letter carriers deliver so late.

In McGuinty's Ontario, someone would have to pay for the electricity if the lights were on in peak period or second-highest rate period and not everyone has street lighting. Canada Post is not thinking ahead on the matter. Hopefully mail will go out and be delivered before 4:30pm.

I doubt it. Again, they have until 8.30pm and fully expect em,ployees to work until this point everyday if needed.

They 'lost' yet another expresspost envie from work again this week, took 5 days to get to us after I complained

Another envie I dropped off at the PO was returned to me with water marks all over it, it wasnt in a mailbox so not sure how it got so wet to the point it could not be delivered because the address was smudged
