Helping the Community Brag

[frugal-not cheap]

I would consider this a build up of all my accomplishments. I have not got as many extreme deals as some people on this forum, but I sure do hope to one day. Anyways, I am at university and don't really need everything that I coupon for, so I give lots away to friends, and my parents. But when they don't need anymore/ don't like the products I have a room which everything sits in.

I decided since I was going home for thanksgiving tonight I would plan to make a donation this weekend, in the spirit of giving. I was looking up which place I would like to donate to and came across this shelter in Cambridge, ontario where people over the age of 16 can go and spend the night, and in some cases they make arrangements for people to stay longer there.

To the facility I am going to be donating aspirin, and dish washing detergent.

I am going to be making up gift bags/baskets for individuals when they spend the night. I know that there is no way that I would be able to make enough, so I am going to start out making as many as I can then hopefully by christmas will be able to make many more. I am going to make some for moms with young children since I have lots of baby coupons, some j&j call ins, samples from family members, and some lady products for the moms.
Also, making some man packs(I seem to always have more boy things than girl things!) which will include razor, shaving cream, face wash, soap.

BRAG 2:
I got an email this morning from a community centre who heard from my best friends mom about the couponing that I do, and they have asked me to come and teach a class once a month. Since I no longer live at home I am going to have to work that out, but Hopefully I will have at least one before christmas! Its in a lower income area of town so I hope that lots of people will come out. I need to start collecting inserts to give out!

Anyways! I am going to post a picture tomorrow once I get home and get the goodie bags all made up.
