So last night where I live they had a Saint John Sparkles event uptown, well me and my lovely moody daughter spent the evening together. We walked all around uptown just window shopping, listening to people singing christmas music, went to the Imperial Theatre where some guy was reading A Christmas Carol, he was right into it we stayed there for 20 mins just listening to him. we got lots of free sweets, pumpkin fudge, shortbread cookies( which were to die for), ginger bread cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate, egg nog, apple cider, caramel popcorn drizzles with chocolate, timbit like thing that tasted like candy canes, and more sweets, we were stuffed from them. I bought her a egg nog latte from Java moose for $2 she said it was heaven in a cup, her first time having one. The highlight of the evening was the city market, they turned the lights off and you got to walk through looking at the Christmas trees and the lights it was magical to be in there at night like that. Bonus part was last year when she was in Middle school they painted butterflys they hung up in the market for the spring/summer and they were selling them. So we found the one she painted, they wanted $25 for it but being so close to Christmas I only had $7 in my pocket well the lady let her have her butterfly for $7. she was happy about that so we had a great night last night, she wants to do it all again next year and bring her brother with us unless hes grounded again.

Perfect brag. Teens can be SO moody and unpredictable so it was nice to read that you both had a good evening out.

Thanks so much for this awesome brag. I have two girls myself, one heading to teens. On one hand, watching her grows is a blessing, on the other hand, kind of scary for me as I realize how little time I have left with her as my "little baby girl". But that's part of life.
In the midst of all these crazy sales like BF, CM, sometimes we've forgotten Christmas is about giving and sharing with family and love ones. So spending precious time with your teen on her "good" day beats any deal !
