Um, thanks everyone. I got bit lost and turned around last night finding Tim Hortons, just to have only one other person come. As much as it was interesting to meet Nancy and see her couponing techniques it had seemed like there was more interest I coming out least evening. I could have saved the drive and met Nancy in Niagara I guess. I'm glad at least Nancy showed up to take some of my surplus Alberta coupons off my hands!

Page 2 of this thread said Thursday - I'm leaving the area on Monday so Tuesday didn't work. Either way at least I met someone new, I did have coupons to share with more than one person, lol. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

Dang, aww.. it does appear that some peeps planned to show but didn't make it.. I totally missed that part.. I couldnt understand why your post was sarcastic but once I read the remaining posts I could see why you would have felt frustrated.. Hopefully meeting tiggs made it worth coming out, she is definitely an exteme couponer..
Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
Be sure to double check your flyer, points and cashback offers~ YMMV

Milllie, that's just life. I've realised long ago that when people say they are going to something, maybe half show up. tiggs is definitely an extreme couponer and shared her techniques with me, if I can use those back home then it will be awesome (it will depend on the cashier I get though, lol). And I did get time away from the kids at least so that was worth it! I was hoping to get more of the Ontario coupons that are out there but oh well. Lots of new tear pads have appeared back home but they will be cleared by the time I am back later this week. Maybe I'll luck out and find something in London today.

Too bad about the coupons.. we usually just dump them all in a pile on a table and we all go through them eventually.. its fun!! Barb is in charge of the ones that are left over..s he brings them back every week lol...
While you are in London, check out Metro, Sobeys & Freshco... If I were looking for coupons thats where I'd go.. good luck...
With regards to about half showing up.. that does occur.. life happens.. I think there is less pressure to come out when we get together every week.. its more relaxed.. I really like it.. usually someone has a great deal of the week to share so then later we scurry off to find something free
If we met every 6 weeks or so I think more would show up at once..

Wow, your way of trading sounds more fun. Here we have different swaps but they are all basically the same, everyone sits around and then passes around their binder/envelope/pile of trade coupons and we all go through them, once we finish with one persons we pass it on and go through another persons. The big downside to that is if you have someone sitting next to you that is looking for the same coupons then they get to snag them all (it's happened to a friend of mine) but we often get new people out. We have different people that organize swaps so they are in different parts of our city and at different times/dates, some weeks there are three, some weeks none (that I know of). I think most people that organize them try to do them monthly and we usually end up with about 3 to 12 or so people at them.
I didn't have too much luck with tearpads when I was there, got some repeats of what I did have already (dove, nivea, etc) but I did find a few goldfish cookies or something and some pillsbury that I think I can stack with ones I already had, other than that I didn't really find anything. Now I just need to get organized and pick up some groceries - we got back late last night and have no milk/eggs/bread/etc. so it's time to get groceries!
