Walking around Target last night thinking, its the calm before the storm... once the discounts get bigger, it will be a mad house & the stores will get torn apart! I just hope sections like bath/linens & so on don't just get increased by 5% each week till the end.... that's dragging it!

I'm quite disgusted at the type of people the liquidation sale draws into the store. I noticed today in my local target someone had stolen some knives that were locked up. All 3 of them had been pulled right out of the package, which were left hanging. Why do people think it's ok to steal when target is going into liquidation. I'm baffled. I didn't notice as many empty packages during Zellers liquidation.

One cashier told me a lot of the cosmetics were stolen in the first couple of days of liquidation. Wtf, they waited til now to invade and start stealing. Trash.

Why cosmetics, jewellery, office supplies, greeting cards start liquidating at the highest % reduction -- things most likely to be shoplifted, try to sell them off before they get stolen.

We had that last week, someone decided to take our display flat irons & curling wands/irons…….which is pointless since we cut those cords before hooking them up as displays, i have no idea why they would steal something that has no way of working ever again, but ooookay?

but yeah, oddly enough now that we are liquidating everything and its all semi "cheaper" we have about an 50% higher theft rate happening…so dumb.

^ women were going crazy opening eyeliners, lipsticks etc., trying out a bajillion shades on their hands.
gross and nasty, and totally inexcusable.

Target's suppliers have many questions(61).... which Target has to answer by the middle of March:

It's an easy and cheap fix to replace/repair a cord if you know how.
However nothing surprises me with the people in Target anymore, yesterday packages of pads/tampons were all ripped opened.

I went today and noticed quite a few things sold the past couple weeks. I saw one lady buying a display item tv. why I have no idea... Nothing close to being cheap enough for me to buy yet though.. Still seem like similar weekly sale prices to me and nothing close to all the previous 70% off clearance deals during normal operations.
